Ok

I know some one here can tell me some thing about this maybe. so looking for a new vac ran across this I found many sellers of this unit online. Perfect Powerteam Canister Vacuum C101

Now who makes it. It looks like Electrolux tom me. But they clam to be brand new units made this year. One site called it the Electrolux C101. So I did more looking around no info on any of the e sites at all about it.

So anyone here got a clue who what makes this if it is new or some company bought a bunch of old units and fixed them up?

There was some discussion on "the other side" in Vacuum Land regarding this machine.
It is a licensed E-Lux design, made in (yup, you guessed it) CHINA. Some reviews are very positive, others not. Only caviet, It may look like a Lux, but the build quality and materials are not Lux.
If you are going to spend $699, you can find a used Areus Electrolux and know what you are buying.

Yep, hes right. I have heard whilst they are so like a lux, they break and fail easily, unfortunately. For that price go miele, aerus, or something else a little better.

For anywheres between $1 and $100 you could find a great used real Electrolux and often in remarkably good condition. I've gotten one or two that barely have a scratch on them. One I got at GoodWill for $3.99 and the others I don't think I've ever spent more than $25.
If you're not in a rush to get a new vac if I were you I'd just scour Craigslist etc locally and one of these real Electrolux gems will show up. They're not that rare and they're a lot better than most of todays plasti-junk vacs.

thanks for the heads up on this. I own about 6 lux units now. Big problem is a few need a new hose odd one at that it has a plug on the vac part. The other 2 are the older runner types with cloth bags. I use them for hard floor like the bathroom and such but on carpet they are a work out from heck. Also have a cloth bag for the newer unit golding what ever it is called. But being the front is plastic cover it has a bad crack in it.

I will give the power drive rug cleaner that hooks to the vac a a+ it can make rugs look like new. Then I use a shop vac to clean up the left over water.

I was hoping the new one was a true Electrolux just to say I own a new never used vac buy a company I think made the best vac of all time.
