Hello- I have this Hupp Corporation Easy Division SpinDrier Model # WS-291
I do not yet know if it is operational. I bought it at a yard sale and was going to plant flowers in it and never did.....
Looking for any information and value.

Non-Operational, and moderately rough shape.....

scrap value would yield about $7.00 +/-.....

may get 20.00/25.00 for someone willing to restore it.....

I'm curious how you know it is not operational by the photos?
I was going to sell for $50 & had so many people interested that I decided to research as it is apparent it's worth more than what than myprice

your own claim of not knowing if its operational yet.....a description like that translates into, non functional....

the more that you can post disclaimers as to what works, and what doesn't, missing parts, and a detailed condition, then maybe the price can go up....

most wringer types only sell for 25.00 to 50.00, unless its an exceptional piece/condition, even then rare to see them go above 100.00...…

then again, an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it....

I personally wont deal with a seller if they want to raise to a higher asking price because others may be interested as well.....

if I sell an item, the asking price is where it stands, if several are interested, its only a matter of who gets here first with cash can have it...money talks, BS walks...I wont hold it, nor will I enter into a bidding war...

Quite frankly

Worth of any vintage appliance is limited to what someone is willing to pay.

Scores of EASY Spindriers have sat sitting for ages with no takers going for far less money than you are asking.

First and foremost to anyone that knows these machines is that by the time Hupp got their hands on Easy things were in decline. Hupp made changes that some feel cheapened the product, and or decreased reliability.

Next as with any vintage appliance (including washing machines) much is going to come down to availability of spare parts. For these EASY spindriers both before and after Hupp acquired that ranges from nearly nil to nothing; at least NOS. People have gotten what seemed to be low use nearly perfect machines only to find out the pump or something is knackered and they cannot find another.

Second largest contributor to price for a vintage washer is location. That is if there is a strong local demand, you'll likely get more offers than not. Shipping these old all or mostly metal appliances isn't cheap (trust me, I know), so if someone who wants one and finds it is in their neck of the woods, they are likely to offer a bit more money.

Speaking rather bluntly the question of *operational* should be settled. Especially if you wish to attract a higher price, *and* do not wish problems afterwards. Things like someone showing up and wanting to plug in/test the unit before handing over any money. [this post was last edited: 5/25/2018-21:58]

Sadly--the "boutique" collector prices placed on machines-yes,including vacuum cleaners.Does this sentence the device to the crusher if no one wants to pay the inflated,boutique collector price suggested?In my area the swap shops say the Easy dual tub machines were common-now they don't see them at all.In my area vintage washers are just not found.

As stated above, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Just because one is for sale on the internet doesn't mean it sold at that price.
