How is the sensor VMW drive washer with the lid lock differ from the standard direct drive and the old belt wigwag drive washer in general including operation and design?
VMW is belt drive, uses a shift actuator to activate a splutch (splined clutch) to switch between agitate and spin. Agitation is achieved by constantly switching direction of drive motor rotation. Drain is by electric pump. Everything controlled by electronic control board. Transmission is a small non serviceable planetary gear box. Speed of drive motor is variable by electronic control. Motor is permanent split capacitor type. VMW is a poorly built piece of junk in my professional opinion.
