Help Support :

Hi Austin,

This was the first twin tub Philips produced around 1964/5-ish..I dont have this model but have the re-styled MK2 Top-Twin. This machine is in my top 5 machine's to have, it had great features like, high spin speed, telescopic discharge arm, good lint filter etc...
Cheers

Hi Austin,

As I say, Philips Twinnes are right up there on my fav list, very understated but a fab all-round machine. Good looking and multi advantages over the Hoover's & Hotpoint's.

I have a problem with mine at the mo..the discharge arm has a very similar set-up to that of the early Hoovermatic 3174/3334, wherby there is a box to which the spin hose and wash tub hose come into, the wash entry hole is close by a plunger and opened by lifting the plunger, the spin side is constantly open. The only thing is the box is made of naff metal and the corrossion is terrible. I will probably have to have a new one cast.

Cheers Keith

Box problem.

Hi Keith

Thats a darn nuisance about the discharge box !

Is there enough of it left that you could coat in no nails?

I did the same to my Servis spin pump it still works a treat :)

Regards Austin

Hi Austin,

I do have another box, which i got off another Philips TT, but need to drill out the screw holes as the screws sheared off in them..when i get it done i will do a short clip of it in action.

Cheers
Keith
