Hear, hear! Always appropriate to remember those who gave their time and often their lives. In a time where Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Paris Hilton, et al.. are revered as role models and heroes and people like solidiers, teachers and nurses are largely ignored, we should recognize the contributions of those who gave and continue to give so much.

My grandpa and 2 uncles served in WWII. One of them fell like 2 stories when a Kamikaze his the USS Mississippi. He made it and he farmed rice in Louisiana.

My cousin Dana served in Operation Desert Storm back in the early 90s.

We support our troops in Iraq as well. Do your duty and come home soon!
