Yes, Rick I know it's twin is about ready to hit the spotlight and dazzle all of us. I can't wait to see pictures. Yes, and I also love the Kenmores of the 50s. Did 5 loads in the 53 yesterday. Fabulous.
To answer your question sudsdudeshane- It took me way too long to do the restore because I had never worked on a machine before and didn't have the confidence. When I finally got my hands on a donor machine and started taking it apart, I became more comfortable and things went much faster then. All in all, I brought the machine home in July 04 and on May 13th of this year, it washed its first load.
Some parts were easy to find, other a bit harder but thanks to members of the club, everything came together.
And yes Kelly, if you flip the switch I just might return. ((--:: And it was great seeing you.
Lesto-the 56 has another looong spray rinse after the rinse cycle. I sometimes move the timer one notch to override it as it starts in before the machine has a chance to get up to spin thus holding the spin speed down.
And to all of you who took the time to post a nice comment, thank you-they're very much appreciated. . They help to make me feel that I've done a good job.
And a very happy and wonderful Thanksgiving to each and everyone.
