I wonder WHERE it is, that sucker would be so cold it would make your teeth hurt!! Not whimpy like todays AC units.

Our neighboor has a window ac unit in his house that is probably from the 60's. As of right now it does not work. He is not quite ready to part with it, mainly because if he removes it, he would have to replace the window. Whoever installed it cut into the window frame. He knows when he is ready to take it out, that its coming to me.

vintage A/Cs

i have 3 A/Cs that are over 40yrs old:
-Ca.1958 big G.E. through the wall unit-220v,it has a big
1725 rpm compressor and runs really nice (and cold!)
-1961 admiral-beat up but runs good.
-1969 whirlpool-grabbed it at the dump in 1983,drug it home
in my wagon and fixed;it had an "inside out"delco motor with
a shorted winding-replaced that motor with a larger one
-had to modify the unit some to fit this motor including
mounting the condensor ahead about 3"
Teenage repair job still going strong!

I was wondering the same thing... where is it located ?

I have a 1971 Chrysler Airtemp. R22 refridgerant. Great unit and still runs. 6500 BTU. I would love that HotPoint

It's located in Barberton Ohio, I looked it up again on ebay and it shows the location, funny it didn't show up in my link. Weird
