Help Support :

It looks a bit rough but

I was thinking of making an offer, however if another member wants to have a go at it I will leave it alone.
Does anyone want it?
Cheers

Likewise Lance

but I have decided not to go for it, as I just don't have the time to collect or deal with it, can't quite believe we only have a few weekends before christmas and the family duties call.

However were it not to sell and come back in the new year then I would consider going for it.

So hopefully someone here will get it and be `ironing straight from the spinner' over the holidays.

All the best

Mathew

Hi Mike,

This is the same model that i have.. late 1400 and dates from about 1964/65, it doesn't have the flapper valve emptying method, just push the hose on the filter clean nozzle, apart from that the insides are the same when the 1400 was originally launched in 1960.

Happy bidding whoever goes for it !!

This is a fun machine. One of my childhood friends in New York City had lived for a while with his grandparents in Bexhill-on-Sea in Sussex. His grandparents had this
Hotpoint twin tub and during my visits, I spent many hours with this
Hotpoint twin tub. Sure was a fun machine.

Go for it Darren

I know from Mike that you've wanted one of these, hope you get it.

Lance its as if you can read my mind, I am so fortunate to have some great washers and other electricals, as well as brilliant friends to enjoy them with, yet just as you say, we see something we haven't got and it's as if we just have to have it.

all the best with it Darren

Sold for £100

Darren hope it was you.
Don't know if you are good at repairing broken washers but Ozzie is in Lincoln and is first class at sorting these old birds out, and one hell of a nice guy as well.
Don't forget photos / videos please when she's up and running.

Hotpoint

I missed the auction ending so didnt know the result until I just got in and had a phone call from Darren in Lincoln who IS the winner of the twinny, hes looking forward to collecting it and getting it working, sprayed & shipshape again...his gran had a 1420 with the powder clutch and has fond memories of the Hotpoints, he backed out of the last two auctions that ended up in the fold so its good he finally got his chance!!

Do we know if this is a 1400 mk3 or a 1410??, I see Keith asked the question telling the seller it was really rare model 1410 so just wanted to know!!

Happy Washing

Mike

Washer courier service

Hi Darren ,
Not sure how much you are paying for collection of the washer but I have a guy who moves any washer within the uk for £50.
Let me know if you want his contact details

Hi Mike..

Might have been a bit quick off the mark saying it was a 1410, I think it maybe a late 1400, I am not sure without referencing it but isn't a 1410 the Twinsix ? I still think they must be rare, as this machine was only made for maybe a year 64-65.

Lance..£50 is good for anywhere within the UK.
