Amana and SQ were both under the same ownership for a while. 

 

One of the experts here will have to advise if these are the dreaded Raytheon machines.  We owned such a pair (but newer -- vintage 1997) and the washer had an appetite for belts and did a lousy job of rinsing.

No, these are not solid tub models. These emerged in the mid 80s as Speed Queen was well into their Marathon washer series with the perforated tubs. These would be Raytheon.
