Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Supposedly the house in the show was an exact duplicate of the Nelsons' actual home.  When the appliances changed in the show, as indicated by the above still shots, I guess they also changed at the actual house?  Initially, they were Hotpoint people, I didn't realize that wasn't always the case.

Thanks, Hans.  I was going by what the original post said, but was having the images match "Frigidaire".  Still, I wonder if once the gas association began to sponsor the show if the same appliances were installed in their actual home.

In the original post, is the dishwasher in pic 5 a BOL Hotpoint when they switched the BOL to a spray arm design?  Otherwise, I don't have a clue.

Bob,

From the information that I have, those Hotpoint models appear to be 1960 vintage.  If so, the catalog that I have only has 3 dishwashers - the De Luxe (DA25-A), the De Luxe (DA35-A) and the Customline (DA65-A).  The first two are identical with the exception of the 35-A having a rinse aid dispenser.  The Customline has the double-deck water action with the red disc.  No clear images of the fronts are provided.

Mixers in Harriet's Kitchen

When Hotpoint was a sponsor of the show, there was a GE Model 12 Triple Whip mixer to the right of the sink. When the show was in color, the mixer was a yellow Model 12 Sunbeam Mixmaster.
