I've toyed with the idea of selling stuff. The problem is that I'd never be able to sell anything. I'd love to open a vintage appliance store, if only to see row upon row of gleaming chrome.

Ha! I'm the same way...

I can't part with ANYTHING until I've been able to live with and look at it on a daily basis for a couple of years. It's too much like putting your kids up for adoption :/

I just wish I had been into vintage when the homes around here were remodeled.  I could have scored some nice stuff fairly inexpensively.  It's amazing how many mid-century homes come on the market here with 90s oak kitchens...

Remodeling is at a fever-pitch...

in Phoenix, anyway. Although there are tons of preservationists out here trying to slow it up a bit. Problem out here is that the fab 50s and 60s ranch houses fell victim to Los Angeles "flippers" who turned everything into home depot faux tuscan. Good bit for people like me is that a lot of fixtures and appliances have wound up in places like Habitat for Humanity and similar shops....so I make the rounds often hunting for the stuff!
