Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi Ricky.

Congrats on the new find.
My gran had the later version - Colston 101 - and an aunt and uncle had the Rolls version.

My grans lived on a rolling trolley and stood about 5 and a half feet off the ground at the top of the machine. Does anyone else remember these machines being available with the same trolley arrangement?
It had a shelf underneath it and my gran kept the machines original Colston dishwasher powder container (a wide tube) to keep her knitting needles in.

rear shot

here with the back off , you can see its a belt driven machine, an electric timer with a push  to start mechanism,  uses cables to pull open and closed inlet and drain valves. A motor with a belt driven pump circulates the water.

The rinse aid dispenser is simply a bottle with a small rubber top with a slit in it, as water fill in the pressure vessel, another pipe pushes a little rinse aid out into the tub at each filling , it has got aid in it but its very smelly!

details explained

hopefully you can see some hi lighted details.

The machine is in good condition and as it has a pump separate from the motor i'm hoping all will be well, it needs new inlet outlet pipes and a little cleaning , rust removal etc.

Does anyone have any instructions to see?

Thanks Richard
