So Spring break is finally here and I am beginning to start to turn my outside shed into a vintage kitchen. I collected all the vintage pieces in 2011 and finally got money together to get the building started. My goal is to finish by August 1st which would have been my Dad's 89th birthday. I chose that date because he was an Army veteran of 3 wars (WW II, Korea & Viet Nam) and spent his career in food service. Today is empty and deconstruction day. I need to replace the side with a bigger window and put in a new subfloor/floor. I've started with a few pics of what I'm dealing with and will add as things change so I will let you know how it's going. Here's a list of what is going into the kitchen:
1961-62 40" Frigidaire Flair Stove
1964 Frigidaire Spin Tube Dishwasher -Turquoise
1952 Frigidaire Refrigerator
1978-79 GE Filter Flo Washer
1909 American Standard Double Drainboard Sink - High apron back and legs.
The dishwasher need some work and I'll be documenting that as well to share with the group. The stove needs a few part like drip pans, supports for the burners, etc. but nothing major. Refrigerator needs a paint job. The washer is perfect - (Much thanks to Martin/Yogitunes)
Wish me luck.
