Very early 50's if not late 40's I'd say.

I had one just like it, worked great, quiet, wieghed a small ton, freezer didn't get real cold, not good for ice or ice cream but frig overall temp was about 35 or 37, the freezer compartment itself could get down to 15, I heard that a freezer's ideal temp is zero and that even five degrees above zero can mean the difference between frozen meat lasting five months or one whole year at zero. I thought that was interesting.

Only the 2-door refrigerators had zero degree freezers. I have a 2-door GE about the same year, the fridge is 38f and the freezer is 0f.
Mine has no shelves on the door either. I guess Crosley held the patent on that at the time.

There was a fridge just like that one at a radio station transmitter site I worked at-you kept your lunch in it.Worked well.This was during the 70's and 80's.
I have one that's very similar. The inner door panel is slightly different, that's all. I tested it last week and it chills down just fine. Uses no more juice than a modern efficient one. Great box.
