"Vintage Kitchenaid Portable Dishwasher for sale.
In incredible shape given the age.
Believed to be in full working order (Pulled from a rental which had the same tenant for over 25 years, and she did not have any issues with it).
Appears to be no rust on the dishracks which is more common in the newer machines.
Dishwasher is located in Sheboygan, and I can also deliver for an extra $20."

Unless home as hot water out of the tap at 140F

Or greater IMHO these KA dishwashers without heaters are of limited use to many.

Yes, know all about the "hurricane in a box" movement of water, but that only goes so far. You still need plenty of hot to very water for coping with fats/greases and other soils. Yes, enzymes will break down protein but still....

Had that same model KA portable when I was growing up back in the 70's...KDD67. That dishwasher was a workhorse to say the least. I would do a load of dishes and made sure the water reached the top rack to wash what was up there. The cycle is a quick one hour from start to finish. Then after it was unloaded then the pots and pans went in on the lower rack only since putting anything really soiled in the upper rack was pointless like a casserole pan so I just loaded it on the lower rack. Always for good results doing that. That dishwasher died in 1984 and was replaced by a Maytag WC302 and I can say that the Maytag was better in all respects.
Hot water was not an issue since the water was a piping hot 145 and the water heater was right under the floor in the basement below the kitchen in the house I grew up in.
