here is an almond colored maytag dryer that was at another 2nd handstore. it is electric. notice the original knob was replaced with a wooden drawer knob.

i don't know what this is called (i'm sure you can tell) but the maker's tag/serial number plate....

you know, i seen another maytag dryer at another 2nd handstore, but i didn't think to take pictures of it. i've been wanting to go back, just to take pictures of it too!!!
i'm not sure but, i think that other one was also a "309" dryer. but the one in these pictures is an electric dryer and i think the other one was a gas dryer, if i remember correctly?
they wanted $49.99 for this (electric) dryer here and the other (gas) dryer, they had that one priced at $125. WTH!!!???

Thanks Hippiedoll for posting this. I also was not aware of a 309 model dryer.
I like the "auto-dry" on the dial. It would be cool to have one of these. And the interior is very clean.

i liked the timer control & settings too. in fact, i think that other dryer that i was wanting to get (also in the almond color) was just like this one. or at least the timer control settings seem to be the same as this one, if i remember correctly? i am wondering if it was also a "309" too!!!

That dryer looks like somebody spent some time cleaning it up. It looks nice. BTW, the wooden knob on the door looks ok, it contrasts the almond color very well.

The knob can be easily replaced. They're all over eBay and parts stores.
