Well, it finally happened although I expected everything to become NLA by 2016. These will probably disappear very quickly since it fits 50 years of a wide variety of machines. The tub bearing is probably next on the chopping block soon.

 

Hopefully a quality aftermarket replacement will be available. Heck, maybe someone smart enough will repop the original design as it was superior, anyway. It would be a lucrative move as long as prices are kept within reason.

I just checked my discounted price through my parts distributor. WOW - this has gone through the roof in the last year or so. Glad I stocked up when I did.

Mounting Stem & Boot Kit

Just used my spare FCP parts (6-2095720 & 6-2040130) in one of my 2 Maytag washers. I am trying to find new spares and refuse to let go of these old girls. Shoulda prepared for this. I'd much appreciate if someone could direct me to, at least, a NOS stem and boot kit. Geez, when God was hand'in out brains, I thought he said trains...and I missed it!
