Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

the dryer...

Looks to be a 608 (can't tell if is gas or electric). I wonder what model the washer is???
And being that they were bought from a school's home-ec. class, I wonder if that means they had been used hard, 6-7 times a day, each week, during the school months?

Christina - Good question, but so wide open for possible answers. I'm disappointed and surprised that they didn't photograph the washer. If the seller pointed and clicked a camera to capture an image, why not the washer, too?

Ha ha ha....

I know right?!
But the seller did say they've been in storage for the past 20 years, right?
I wonder if they only took the dryer out & cleaned it up to take the picture and just got lazy to do the washer?
Hmmmmmmmmm...

:o/

Christina - I get suspicious when photos are missing, but it would be more comfortable if the dryer photo included at least a measely corner of the washer, so we could have assurance. Maybe they were lazy and couldn't drag it into a place where they could get a good picture of it?

Ah, life - so challenging. To raise a camera, to focus using a flash, and to upload. So many steps, so little time.
Ok, I'm bad.

in our Home/Consumer Economics class, in fact for 4 years of High School, only seen those machines run 2 times.....it was a Hamilton washer and a GE dryer....surprised to see them in class considering our teacher treated Consumer Reports as the Bible...Maytag was number 1....and you couldn't tell her any different!

we mainly got to do mock loads, 5 minutes per machine.......we made fudge and baked a cake, and for sewing made a shopping bag.....big whoop!.....most of it was written work.....not to mention caring for that stupid EGG we had to carry everywhere....

in fact, my last year of High School was the last of Home Ec and the mock weddings.....the following years it was 'Independent Living'....in other words, 'Being Single'

Ha ha ha....

Phil:
I guess it could be the sellers way of trying to create suspense? Or like you said, just to damned lazy! LOL...

Yogitunes:
Caring for an egg & carrying it everywhere. I don't think I had that lesson? But then again, I don't remember talking home-ec in high school. I had enough of washing dishes & cooking, I did at home that I sure the heck didn't want to do those things in school too!! LOL...

I did take home-ec in junior high but I don't remember any washer or dryer in the classroom. I don't even remember any sewing machines?? The only thing I remember is the kitchen-centers. And making pizza-boats (those were yummy) and a "Tex-Mex" chocolate cake (double yummy). And we got some xerox copies of those & other recipes. I don't know what ever happened to those recipes??

Wait! I did take home-ec one time, in high school. But that seems like so long ago, that I can't remember much about that time now???
I guess too much "hippie" fun in my younger adult years...
