Help Support :

Oh Robert and Fred now you can have 1st year "Speed Queen clean" laundry. Does it pump loudly at the beginning, like the coin ops? It's very nice alr.

!st & last

WOW, Does anyone know who was the last "White Goods" manufacture was to offer a machine in this catagory of home laundry?

Early players were ABC, Apex, Bendix, Blackstone, Easy, Frigidaire, GE , Launderall, Maytag, Kenmore/Whirlpool, Westinghouse and Thor. They were offering unique designs to efficently ease the burdensome weekly chore of laundry for the "moderne post-war family". Many names fell fast with mergers, some are still with us.

Frist SQ Automatic washer

WOW Robert that is a great find, I had the matching electric dryer for years that came from Bob In Cleveland Oh. It now resides with Teds collection here in Md. I figured that we would never see the washer, but then again who would have ever thought that a pair of  Westinghouse L&D 1000s would show up, it has certainly been a good year for appliance collecting.

LOVE this vintage "Queen!"  Even my wife thinks it's pretty cool.  She really likes the speckled porcelain tub, and was especially impressed by the great shape it's in.  Ya done good Robert on this 'un.

Great find Robert. Another first for your collection. That bakelite agitator is stunning with its chrome cap. I love the unique look of the speckled porcelain tub too. It just makes it more special.

Enjoy, Patrick

Do you think the Wizard is busy this morning

making a vid of the unique spray rinse operation. Spray rinses and overflows, rinsing fit for a Queen, a Speed Queen. Wonderful!

LOL, Mickeyd,   i thought you were referring to that western auto pig/Wizard.   I too am excited about the SQ video, when Robert and Fred have time.  alr.

Feel like I am in space light years ahead with stars with that basket !
