1950's Sunbeam

This was my mothers mixer that she received as a gift in the 1950's. I have used the mixer a few times to make cookies. It works great.

It's an "L'Equip". It's called the "RPM" blender.

At the time, it had the most powerful blender motor on the market (1/2 horsepower or something like that).

I Googled it for you ... looks like they started making it in black (which is kind of sexy -- I admit I've have had trouble picking between that or the "raw aluminum" which was the only option when I bought mine).

Unfortunately, it also looks like it's been discontinued.

It's amazingly simple. Heavy-duty toggle on/off switch, and an infinitely-variable speed knob. The tachometer guages the RMPs. It's totally a GUY'S blender!

Sunbeam model 7B mixer manual scans

I hope I got these scanned ok. I also hope the powers that be don't hit me with the 'zot' button for the number of scans. I wasn't sure how else to do this but am open to suggestions. This manual is neat. Lubing info, recipes, and HOLY COW, I had NO idea there were so many attachments for this...
