Does anyone remember this commercial? Wouldn't the force of the water jets in the dishwasher be enough to cause the crystal pieces to crash into each other enough to crack and chip? Especially of the dishwasher of those days.

All I remember

is that Palmolive dishwasher detergent liquid was a below average performer in my machine and water, The ultra concentrated Palmolive powder was great, however!

Notice that...

I think they are using a GE machine with a tower.

One would think if the tower does not fully extend, there would be a significant drop in water pressure on the spray system ?

There is a note under the video that the program on which the commercial was tested that said that the dishwasher did break some of the prisms. A GE would be hard on the prisms with those crude water sprays. I wonder if a 15 series KA might have been easier on it since the jets were better designed with that little dimple around each hole which made the water fan out more after it left the hole. They were still powerful jets, but they were spread out over 4 arms and did not seem to make dishes crash into each other like the GEs did.
