I agree with Robert

Banning people is no way to start out.
5 years ago when I started Hooverland I laid the rules down from the start, and warned that anyone being unkind or abusive would be removed and never allowed back.
Since that time I have removed only two people. Most everyone gets along pretty well.

John your descision makes me very sad.

We'll He's been trying to ban me for 4 years

You're gonna be BOOM BOOM DONE mister any minute now if you keep it up!

Here have some butter.

Hmmm.....I've probably not expressed myself properly.

Robert, your comments are taken with respect and close consideration. You run one of the best sites on the 'Net, and I sincerly mean that. You really do.

That goes for you too, Jeff -- you and Robert run websites -- I don't. And Charlie has expressed a lot of enthusiasm and drive looking forward and I don't want my comments to rain on that, ok?

I must be honest with you all -- my life situation right now isn't the best and in fairness here, must say that it's nudging in to my judgement a lot these days. Stress load is a biggie. And so is fairness.

I like and respect you all, I mean that. Know that I support the positive efforts, and I'll change the Resolved status back to "Under Consideration" in deference to your experience and statments -- howzat?

Cheers,

John

Uhmmm....

Quote Robert: I think we've been very successful

Saying you've been very successful is like saying a tidal wave is damp. 'Tis good to be here.

John's choice

John,

Wow, a lot sure goes on around here when I go out flying for 4 days! I think I understand what you are saying and I agree with you that everyone must do what is best for them at the time. I try to keep negativity out of my life as often as possible as it does contribute to stress. (Look what I go through with just these vacuum boys)

I think the "shake out" period may be a bit ugly at times but smooth sailing ultimately lies ahead. Anytime there is a shift of direction and power within an organization or company, there is bound to be a period of............well, let's just say things may not be as pretty as we would like them and even Kirby, Dyson or Air-Way can't resolve that!

However, the good news is, as I said, once the changes that need to be made are made, we will be like the Emerald City, "Bigger and more beautiful than I ever thought!"

There is a teaching aid used in the corporate world that makes reference to how your kitchen looks in the middle of a redo----usually like a disaster site! But, with perserverance and time, once the redo is completed and the kitchen cleaned up, it is amazing at how wonderful the change is in the end and well worth the wait.

Jet - You Are Always Welcome Here in Chicago!

You must make a trip just to see the KDI-14P you and Greg helped me bring back to life. There is plenty of room in my house which Charlie fondly refers to as "Tarantula Arms". I am having a full house this weekend and I am sure Greg will have some stories to tell. Those stories of course that are not posted in living color in pictures on this website!

Thank you John for your kind words. I'm glad you will at least be open to the idea of viewing the new website. Sorry to hear about the stress in your life right now, hopefully it will pass soon.

Here let me roll in some drinks on a new blue Philco for you...
