Gary!

I was working on a Constellation tonight, actually stripping one for parts... I thought of you and wondered if you ever got a handle for yours; I remembered you telling me you needed one.  I have a handle!  Send me your address and I will send it out to you!

@brian: Washing Early Vacuum Bags...

It has been my experience that washing early vacuum bags will simply damage them. The best thing to do if you must wash them is: 1) Vacuum the bag out 2) Soak, (do not agitate) the bag in cold to cool/warm water and VERY mild soap/detergent. 3) spin dry if possible. 4) After bag is completely dry, spray with spray starch, or sizing spray. Doing this will give the bag a little needed strength as most bags are very weak and thin. Hope this helps!

These are a few that are in my collection. Starting from the left; First 2 are both Hamilton Beaches, Hoover, next 3 are all Apex, Airway, Eureka, and then Clements at far right.

Thats quite an amazing collection Anthony!

Beautiful machines! I especially love the 3 Apex. My friend has a few machines similar to the straight suction one, which are Beevacs, singers, and Apexs alike. All similar machines.
