The Avocado Whirlpool set looks just like the 1974 Inglis Supreme set that my parents had when I was a kid (theirs was white) I got the remaining dryer years ago and gave it to my cousin who still uses it.

Inglis was making Whirlpool machines under license (and was later bought by Whirlpool). Ususally, there were some differences between the US and Canadian models, like the shape of the cabinet and the model names but this 1974 large capacity machine looked like the US models and even had the same series name (Supreme).   I still have the instruction manual for the dryer.   Here's an Harvest Gold set of the same machines that were for sale at an estate auction and the instruction manual for my former dryer.

PhilR - thanks for the photos and info. I like the color with shading, too. Were these of any higher quality in parts and longevity than the US counterparts prior to Whirlpool buying Inglis? I don't understand why Inglis had a license to make these and then Whirlpool bought them out(?) to expand their own international market or reduce competition or some other strategy(ies), no doubt.

That agitator reminds me of pouring batter onto a cake. Is that the same as the US version, the agitator shape?
