Asko Rinsing After Two Rinses

Such behavior was par for the course in washers of that period. My Miele W1070 only spins after the third rinse (short pulse) and fourth (full spin), then the final series of graduated and complete spin dry after the fifth rinse. This is for "Normal" cycle.

Mind you my newer OKO-AEG Lavamat does nearly the same thing when "Sensitive" is chosen. You get two deep rinses, a short spin, another deep rinse then a full (and violent) spin then two more with equally fast spins before the final rinse and spin.

In both cases the idea is to dilute, dilute and dilute some more then spin out.

All the rinses before spinning are essentially diluting and preparing to spin before leaving any of the soap, etc.
Bottom line, does it get it cleaner than other approaches to dilution and spinning at some interval along the wash type /method selection? It impresses me, that these have five rinses and as long as the user isn't cramming too much and too different items into the washer, five rinses and the programmed spin speeds, seem like they would a great job. OKO-AEG : what is that? Not a Miele, of course.
