My Mum used to have coffee mornings.....a kind of get to know the neighbours thing. So.......I thought I would tell you a bit about me and if people want they can do the same.

My name is Paul,Iam 39 (yikes!!!), I was born in Bebington on the Wirral ( in England ), I have loved washing machines and vacuums ever since I could walk!!! One of my earliest memories is helping my Mum with the washing in her Hotpoint Supertwin ( bought in 1968 and lasted 14yrs ). I now live in Edinburgh (Scotland) with my partner Mike, we "married" 4 weeks ago after 8 years together.....he finds the whole washer/vacuum obsession ammusing and slightly frustrating at times as I ALWAYS want what I cannot have....eg the 8kg V-Zug!!!

I also have Bi-polar( that explains this post at 2.15am!!).....not the Kerry Katona kind ( UK guys will know what I mean!!!!). I have to say, this site has been a godsend, I really thought I was the only washer freak in the world, as did my family! So thanks guys for posting pics and sharing information, and long may it continue!!!

2.32 AM and im still awake talking to LavamatJon on MSN having downed half a bottle of Mount Gay rum too lol.

Is that the Kerry Katona kind?

LOL!

Well if you have Mark Croft there.......then yea Iam afraid it is "Katona Time"!! Lol.
you are the guy with the Indesit and the hotpoints that went to Chestermikes?

Katona time...

No wonder she shops at Iceland. I daresay she even struggles to cook a £1 chicken and ice cream party platter without stumbling all over the place!

Imagine how dangerous she'd be doing some real cooking!

:-)

yes I am

lol
whats to say about me?

Ok

This month MatchboxPaul celebrated our 1st anniversary as a couple after meeting at Mikes 55 weeks ago.
Love him to bits and we are a well suited couple. Hes the reason I go to work Monday to Friday, means I have time to look forward to spending the weekend with him LOL!

I work for Tesco and am a Fresh Food Stock Control Clerk - used to be Stock Control Clerk on beers wines spirits and frozen foods but gone upwards into the fast living world of Fresh Foods.

Qualified as a chef in 2002 but went into retail in 2003.
Spent 4 years working in catering tho as did a full time job alongside my full time position with Safeway. Now work for Tesco as mentioned.

Dunno what else to say to be honest

Ha!!!!

Yes, so true......!!!

Anyway.....I started this thread to get to know people on here a bit better. I feel kind of isolated in Edinburgh, am not aware of that many washer freaks in scotland.
