Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

That first range (yellow 40" Liberator)...

is mine! Can't miss those Salmon walls! Not one lick of interest in that range... no one around here is into vintage appliances. The used appliance stores just laugh when you ask about them.

The Yellow Lib is being replaced by a Pank 40" Hotpoint from '56 one of these days.

Lead Me Not Into Temptation:

For I can find the way all by myself!

That '68 P*7 range has been seen here before, and I keep sighing over it. The necessary road trip puts it out of the question, though.

Nice, nice range.

That '60 in Turquoise is nice too. I prefer it to the '61, where the backguard design was much more bland.

Roger, that Liberator is beautiful! If we were in the market and had the space for a 40", I'd be pulling strongly for it. I've posted it over on RetroRenovation as well. I think the issue is that many have been sold on new appliances being better and more efficient (What a lie). When we replaced our '92 GE with our '63 Frigidaire, we saw our power bill drop a little. And it's built like a tank so it's actually a pleasure to cook on!

Sandy,
The turquoise stove has been up periodically since at least early February. I had a friend who was interested in it, but it was too far from us to try and coordinate pick up and delivery (I live in MD, our friend lives in ME, and the stove is in NJ) :D

Jason:

Well, the Turquoise range is a very nice range, and I like it, as I like all the '57 through '60 TOL GE models. But it's not P*7, which was still in development in those years, so I am content to look but not covet.

That gorgeous '68 - which does have P*7 - is the kind of thing that "sends" me.
