was given a ~2012 bravos today-it mostly works, but bearings are shot-wondering if a bearing repair on one of these requires any new parts other than seal and bearings?-it's a cool looking machine with a window lid and silver in color :)Might junk it for spare parts if bearing job expensive... :)

is yours an 'X' belt drive, or an 'XL' direct drive.....there are a few little differences in disassembly...

bearings and seals alone not too bad.....

its when you purchase the whole outter tub with bearings and seals installed that can be major costly...

I did it with tools I already had....

belt

it's the belt drive version-I was really hoping I had scored the F&P drive version with recirc pump-have found some of those at the dump, but they have always been bent up-did salvage a few of the F&P style motors though. Thanks for those links-I'll get it apart for evaluation soon :)

if its a belt drive.....your most likely have to go through these sort of steps...at least of tearing it apart....

bit the dust...

transmission shaft was damaged along with some other parts,so junked the machine-saving a large stash of spare parts-including lid switch/lock used to repair a VMW centennial :) The bravos was made around 4th quarter of 2010.

bad boards-bad capacitors...

When I got my 2010 cabrio,it was a faulty board that had it out of commission-board problem was caused by bad capacitors on the"assembled in China"control board-replaced the junk capacitors with quality ones and cabrio was back in operation :)Cabrio was an early one-built around 1st Q 2010.When I take the board out of the Bravos(I kept the whole top)i'll look it over for junk capacitors even though that machine was basicly working :)
