Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Never heard of Vollrath cookware but googling seems to be commercial stuff mostly.

A couple of weeks ago whilst haunting the aisles of Value Village I happened upon a small covered saucepan about 8". It an Ecko and on the side it says EHP Ecko Home Products. Ultra Ease II Inducta core 7 ply 304 S.S. Has a little adjustable vent in the lid as well and appears to have been never or lightly used so I bought it for about $3.99 with my seniors day discount LOL. Like I need another pan but I won't pass up quality on the cheap.

Feels like real quality stuff but I can find little on EHP online if they're even still in the business anymore making quality stuff other than the normal sort of cheap Ecko aluminum stuff thats been around forever.

Paul that electric server/dish looks great, it looks sort of familiar like I've seen one before but who knows.. company's were pumping out those sort of things for quite a while but you never see them these days.

We took a drive up along the west coast of Lake Michigan--there are a bunch of old stamping companies along the coastline which are familiar names...Vollrath, Regal, etc. (Looked quite similar to the eastern coast--lots of old industrial buildings). It appeared that they each had their own legacy materials (aluminum, stainless, tri-ply, quad-ply) which they made for themselves and OEMed for everyone else...obviously production in China has changed things a bit but the stamped forms of the "direct to customer" multi-ply cookware (for example) seem to be reallllly common (the only differences are the handles/knobs).

Pete, if you've never heard of Vollrath, you must not have ever worked in a restaurant or other food service business. They are the top manufacturer of stainless steel stock pots and steam table pans. Our church kitchen has lots of their products, and I have several myself.

The company is based in Sheboygan, WI, and makes most SS products in their facilities there. They also make Wear-Ever commercial aluminum cookware and bakewear. In their early days, they made enameled cast iron and steel items, though that line was discontinued many years ago. They also do custom manufacturing for other companies.

While the company is a separate corporation than the Kohler Co., the Kohler and Vollrath families are related, and the Kohler family members have been involved with the Vollrath Co. for many years.
