This one is for sale in the Sydney area. Would be great if someone off here could take it and keep her going!

Looks like an lightly used 1980's model (pushbuttons with lights and a good ol' fashioned timer), judging by the pics posted by the owner.

Details:
Vulcan Dishlex Mk. 3 (I think)
Castle Hill, NSW
ONLY $10!!!

I'd love to have this - but, posting a dishwasher interstate is likely to be troublesome and rather expensive, and we don't really have the room, with the big shed used as storage and car port, the verandah is for table + chairs, 2nd fridge, water softener and bikes and the kitchen just isn't big enough - until we get a FL machine, and build a 2nd bench top, then if the freezer doesn't work on castor wheels, the old Vulcan COULD go under there!

SO... Anyone in NSW in the Sydney area, please take it! I'd prefer a collector or appliance lover have than someone who hates modern stuff, and will abuse this machine.

I think I'll look a little closer to home. I know a friend with a similar machine that recently died (had new door springs, so probably timer or pump, maybe fill valve), so hopefully it hasn't gone to the Good Guys store in the sky, and I can have it, and get some spare parts for her...

Yes, Dishlex was an Australian brand. They are now owned by Electrolux, like Westinghouse, Kelvinator, Simpson and other brands (not incl. F&P).

It appears that Vulcan may have started Dishlex, as a model of machine, but then sold them on elsewhere, but, I don't know.

The 2007 MOL Electrolux/Dishlex (thats its name!) we had was one of the last made in Australia. I think it was the 302 line, the step below SS with the Sanitize option for the wash. Ours had "Rinse & Hold, Eco 45º, Quick30, Regular65º, Intense 70º."
We used Quick30 and Eco mostly, pre-rinsed dishes too. The Regular cycle was 90mins, the Heavy was 112.

I'd love to see one of these in operation, either on video or personally, thats for sure!
