What happens when you select the 'Night' option on the Adora SQL (similar to 'Eco' option on the new 'Ecogenius' Bosch washers), apart from increase in the length of the wash programme? By how much does the temperature decrease (e.g 60 > 40)? thanks

If my thoughts are correct, night mode means the machine doesn't spin so as not to wake up sleeping people in the house...although i can only dream of owning such a machine, i think that's the options main function

hiya

our zanussi jetsystem + has a night mode option - it was a glorified rinse hold from what i could tell, the machine paused itself untill you press start again then it spins.

Thanks for your replies.
The 'Night' options lengthens the programme (it doesn't affect the spins -- barely audible anyway) and decreases the temperature. I was wondering if anyone had any idea by how many degrees the wash temperature decreased

Brandon, the Zanussi night wash cuts out all the spins and increases water on the rinses and then does a rinsehold which tumbles throughout like on current hotpoints. which is cool :)

Those V-zugs really are something! While i think there a great idea for jo public, i think there wasted on washer fans lol. the only time i've ever used them was in the daytime just to see what there like lol.

My washer's "silent" programme.

My L.G. T.L. has a very similar programme to that it is called the "silent" programme, basically it is a much longer cycle(at max about 120 mins for a full load.)which starts off with a few minutes of normal agitation/pulsation and then agitates/pulsates at a much slower speed for quite a while and has a much slower spin than the standard programmes.
It is actually my favourite programme to use for all sorts of loads, whites, colours and underwear as the clothes are getting a nice, long, slow gentle wash and it really seems to clean them better too and one gets considerably less linting.
The purpose is of course to wash while you are asleep at night and then hang the load out the next morning, the only drawback is the slower spin means the load is still quite damp when hung out, but that does not really bother me too much, I find the positives outweigh the negatives.
Cheers.
Steve.
