After checking the motor wires, I had the brown and black wires swapped...after taping the door switch together (need a replacement one)...(and a few Hail Marys!) it now works without sparks flying!..I have to put yet more glop around the tub hose..(it just gets damp) and the homemade water valve attachment...Since I put the GE motor, there is a rattling sound around the pullies around the motor..once that is all fixed, Ill take the wheels off and do its official first load!

The pullies on the GE motor make a rattling noise..watch the vid and check it out in the link

Then watch this and see how quiet the original pullies on the motor are:

What is the "glop" that you are using? Perhaps it might be worth it to strip all of it off and try using something else? It doesn't look like it is working too well IMHO?
