I can't for the life of me find one of these anywhere anymore though according to the Honeywell website they're still made and when I plug in my postal code it gives me a list of stores I've already checked, none carry this particular thermostat, just the fancier programmable and sensor ones or the square plain digital one like I installed at my moms. I want the roundie to replace the mechanical Honeywell roundie we have now. So if anyone sees one in their travels thru hardwareland I will gladly send you the money to buy it and mail it to me. Just email me first so I don't end up with harf a dozen of them.
thanks

That was the one thing I changed right away in my new house. That Hunter JustWrong thermostat get ripped out and a Honeywell roundie got installed. It's so accurate and comfortable compared to the Hunter. I don't know if there's Home Depot where you live but that's where I got mine.

EASY to install and configure, and looks nice too.

I went to Home Depot here in Sarnia and they didn't carry the roundie but I'll recheck. Their website only shows the heat/cool model, we have hydronic heating, so no a/c but I guess it would still work. Stupid me, I can run over the bridge and check out the HD in Pt.Huron and see if they might have it.. sometimes the Cdn stores don't carry quite the same or vice versa.
Robt. that Amazon seller doesn't ship here it seems.

Here's the oldie

It works fine and I like the brass but it's a little out of calibration regardless of me adjusting that. Plus that one that I live with..well he's the type that when he feels chilly cranks it 20 degs figuring it'll warm up the house faster. That's the cross I bare, one of em anyways, I've already told you how he loads the washer. LOL
OH, notice the little hole in the wall below and to the right of our roundie..well when I looked over this house prior to buying I'm positive there was a Honeywell digital setback thermostat there and voila it's not there when we move in the cheap screw!!!! LOL And that other thing to the left of our thermostats my indoor/outdoor/humidistat. I've been waiting for days now for it to go over freezing outside GRRRRR

NIce old roundie

Oh yeah, that's a classic one too :-) I'd keep it just for looks.

And UGH! Put a lock box on your t-stat. Turning it way up doesn't speed up the heater.

Interesting thermostat

I was at Disney's all-star music resort and our room had a neat little thermostat. I couldn't see the brand but it said "Auto climate control", meaning it could switch to heat or AC if needed. It could be set for F or C and it could be set by .1 degrees. Like, 70, 70.1, 70.2, and so forth. It wasn't much to look at (a little white box) but it was neat nonetheless.

I'll check Home Depot and Lowes round these parts.. ALso been wanting to go check out Ace Hardware up here.. Will post when i get home

We have them by the barrels at our local ACE hardware store. They run ~ $40. E-mail me and I'll pick one up and ship itif you can't find one. I replaced all mine with them, and they are great. I just don't know what the hell to do with the old mercury filled ones, so they are sitting here in a bag!
