Is there any source for a new water level (pressure) switch for a Maytag 906? Am in need of one....this is for the TOL push button models that have preselected (two level) load size on the cycle push buttons...... Been searching extensively online for a few years, with no luck. Its Maytag part # AP 4289671 ....Im able to use the washer, but with only one water level....

You'll need to reply with the month/year (or serial number if unaware). The 906 washer was revised in 1968 and certain parts are not compatible with older versions. The water pressure switch is one of them.

Prior to 08-02-1968, the switch is part# 203226
After 08-02-1968, the switch is part# 204228

If you can’t find the original one, it should not be too hard to cobble in an additional water level switch set to the correct level needed, you could leave the existing water level switch and only use the high or low level switched depending on which one is still functional.

I'd personally use and adapt infinite pressure switch 205705 from a 10 series washer and mount it to the console cover in a fashion where it can be accessed easily (either openly or discreetly,) so you have full adjustability of the water level. These machines should have come with that from the factory on the console.s-l1600.png

Already "cobbled" one together.....using TWO Maytag pressure switches. One set to LOW and the other set to HIGH. Used a "T" connecter between the two for the air pressure hose and it does work. Finding a new or good used replacement would be just dandy and make it like it was, back to original. The problem using two pressure switches is the extra room they take up and how they have to be convoluted to fit.....
