Wanna see if every one is ok due to the flooding? Talked with Bob (appnut) from Temple this am and wanna make sure every one else is ok..

I haven't floated away yet. MORE rain has 70% chance tonight. The bad thing is, when it's middle of night, I cannot see if water is flooding through the street. Had one hellacious of a thunderstorm last night. Was without power from 8:15 pm until 4:15 am. My "team" leader lives 15 minutes south of town. Her house flooded due to Salado Creek and all her oriental rugs are destroyed. Her husband's truck had mud up to the engine. Actually quite a bit of flooding in that area. And surrounding small, rural communities.

Some flooding

Have had water up to the doors here but had not come in YET! Have several Clinics and Dr Offices flooded out entirely and closed down..

As for the greater Houston area. It's not too bad. We have afternoon sprinkles for an hour or so and then it is over.

What the problem is that a low pressure system has parked itself over central texas. And it's not budging. Systems like this can dump a lot of rain in a short amount of time. Plus central texas, due to topology is prone to flash flooding.

In the 80's Houston had one of these systems come in and park itself just south of downtown. League City, Texas (by NASA) got 43 , yes 43 inches of rain in 24 hour period!

Venus/Retromom

is the same person...she is just fine. She has been involved with remodeling her house and getting Austin settled in college.

The bad weather is

affecting North and Central Texas. Venus lives outside of Houston...

Mother nature knows better than to mess with our Venus!

Weather doesn't work this way, unfortunately

I wish they could send some of that to Alabama and Georgia. As dry as the inside of a Norge Village dryer after an hour on high.
