"does not meet the moral standards of the military"
Just what might those standards be? After six years of the debacle in Iraq, and all the immoral incidents that have been reported, (and we can be sure there are plenty we will never hear about,) it is laughable that military officials even use the term "moral standards" any more. Lets see, the moral standards of the Bush administration are so high. Honey puhleeeez.
Perhaps that spineless Gen. Peter Pace, who does not have guts enough to stand up to Bush and his cronies could fill us in on the moral standards of the military. After hiding under a rock during the Abu Garib debacle, he has certainly been outspoken on the issue of gays in the military, claiming gays don't have a place in the military. But then, he knew he was about to retire, so why rock the boat and risk that full pension.
Gen. Pace has forgotten his place. He is a public servant and part of his income (and his pension) comes from gay taxpayers. I guess gay money is moral enough. The scumbag.
The gays I know and have known in the military are and always have been of the highest calibre.
