Water Powered Washer

I don't have any real experience with these washers, but have read about them, you need good water pressure to run them and lots of cheap-free water.
It would be fun to see it work but I dough that it would be something that you would use as a daily driver in today's world.

I have never seen a water powered washing machine before. Didn't know that they existed!

I looked at Lee Maxwell's site and came up with nothing. I will try contacting him and perhaps he will shed some light on it. I found it while strolling around the Brimfield antique flea market. The guy that I bought it from knew nothing about it. It had a crumpled-up, falling apart Boston Globe newspaper from November 1941 in it.

We haven't tried it out yet as the dial will not turn and the hoses are rock hard but when time permits (Ha!) we will tear into it. One odd/neat feature is the raised horizontal ridge that can be seen mid way down the tub (pic 1) is for a ball bearing to roll in to keep the tub steady when spinning. At least that's what I think it's for :-)

We'll post pics/video if/when we get it running!
