Dryer -is that a complete chromed top on the panel(not the edges, but top? or is it just white paint?)

It does look like a chrome top.  I wish new stuff still came with chrome.  There's something immensely satisfying with polishing the chrome to a blindingly shiny state and seeing one's reflection in it.
