Based on today's POD, it seems odd to me that the washer and dryer pictured are similar in price.

I remember that dryers were frequently less expensive than washers (before the "invasion of the front-loaders").
Then, we saw very expenseive front-loaders and moderately priced dryers.
Now, we see that the price of washers (F/L) has crept down but the price of dryers has crept UP. Again W&D are similarly priced. But I believe dryers are priced rather high, overall.

Life if cyclical.

I know what you mean

I think that it is important to know how much it is before you buy it.When I bought my Neptune pair, when I had one, they were priced at 1099 for the washer, and 569 for the dryer, although, my dryer was a 3000 that was a demo, hense, I got a deal on it for 423. When I worked at Sears, you could buy a midline Kenmore set for 700 plus tax, 400 for the washer, and 300 for the dryer. Now when I look at them, they have different catigories of quality as well as price.
