That's a steal for a great pair of KitchenAids. My only caveat would be those soft touch selector switches. I think they gave trouble of some kind, but can't remember exactly how; maybe the little pads would break.

The pads can tear or wear through but the switches beneath are mechanical (short-travel design) so should still work even so.

I really like the timer dial on this model. Unmistakable settings... I think that is one of the reasons I liked the WCI timers.

$100 for both is not shabby
I bought that same set new when we purchased our last San Jose house in 97. Those were indeed mechanical switches under the vinyl. The advantage was that they wiped clean. The one thing I did not like was the dryer's painted top which scratched easily. The newer Maytag dryer I now have has a porcelain top...much better.
