There are several different ways that dryer might be attached to the top of the washer. Look at the back of it and see if there’s two little brackets that lock the dryer onto the washer. If you remove the screws, then the dryer can be lifted slightly and pulled rearward and off the washer

I don’t know of anybody that’s tried to remake the boots for these machines, the same boot was used 1959 through 1994, fortunately they were made recently enough that I’ve always been able to find good ones and it was a very durable boot to begin with, but everything rubber eventually fails.

Looked on the back and there are no brackets connecting the two units.
Tried lifting the front of the dryer and it feels like it is attached on the two front corners. There are three screws on the bottom of the front panel. Could these two end screws possibly be what is locking down the two? I would like to remove them and test the theory but not sure how the front panel attaches. Would it have a hinge attachment of some sort? Looking for some direction.
