Washer in "Middle of the Night"

I'd bet the rent that it is a Bendix from the 40"s, but not sure of the exact year.

Looks a lot like mine, which I think is a 1947 model!

The vacuum looks a lot like a Fairfax. Hans (norgeway) will know for sure, no quality canister vac escapes him. Clearly this was a posh house, too bad we can't see the kitchen and garage!

They're two different apartments. The Bendix, or whatever is in the Kim Novak character's mother's apartment, the Fairfax is in a $250 1959 money apartment, used by the sister of the renter.

Is a McAllister Bagless...LOOKS like a Fairfax, but noticeably different in that the motor housing is smaller.."Wont fit a Fairfax pan...I tried it!"..and it has a cloth bag type filter that fits on top of the pan, it is not flat like a Fairfax filter,and these were very good vacuums!!!
