May I show you mine?

The sink is to the right of the portable DW (Wood-look over black).

Thw washer uses a quick-connect "portability" fill and rinse coupler with hoses, that I added later.

The dryyer came to me via Connecticut. (The next state). It's a 90's hotpoint electric MOL unit with a procelain drum. New belt. Uses 110v in that my apt does not have 220v available. Uses a "standard" 4 prong/conductor (flex) cord. Made a custom extension cord such that a 110v heavy-duty plug (male) feeds a heavy-duty air-condtioner extension cord. Added a standard 4 hole (female) outlet/socket, in place of the female that was there. By manipulating the conductos itn eh outlet(female) of the extnesioncord, the heating element is fed 110v insted of 220v. (This quarters the heating wattage from 5,000w to circa 1,250w +/-*). Slow, but it works!

Fantastic Steve, thanks so much for sharing with us. I had no idea that you had full sized machines in your apartment, like you say, where there is a will there is a way!!

When addtinal room humidity is desirable, most of my drying occurs on this drying rack.

But I find a 20 minute heated tumble in the dryer afterwards does wonders for removing creases and wrinkles and really helps get items bone-dry!

This photo has run several times around here, but it features something not many of you have: THE MOST HATED WASHER AT AW.ORG: A top-loading Frigidaire with a Franklin tub-indexing transmission!

Glad to see a few other Frigidaire FLer's out there. Not a bad machine at all, and the price is certainly right.

Diomede! I'm coming to Italy to see that machine! Will you be there? *LOL*

Here is our only top-loading horizontal-axis machine made here.

What is the spin speed of yoru amchine?

Molto Grazie!

Funny you should mention Staber

I was watching How It's Made yesterday, and they were showing how the Staber washing machine was made.

I find these to be excellent machines...do a great job and have had no problems. I've had them about four years. They replaced a Frigmore front load set that I gave to my son. That ten year old washer has never had a repair and is still going strong.

Thanks Rich, my set was used when I got them. I have been really please with them so far. I think the washer cleans well, and I've never had any problems with mold or odors.
