Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That's better, the description blurbs are readable. Is the original clear enough and of sufficient size to read the text on the controls? If so, the washer & dryer could be done as separate scans to keep the image size manageable. If not, it's OK as-is. Thanks!

I sent you the larger scans as separate pages. I used PhotoShop to make it one single page and I think it was reduced in size when I saved it. Let me know if you receive the scans and if they need to be larger.

And This Piece Of Utter Crap! - Hoover Vision 9kg sensor Condenser Dryer.

As you can probably tell the condenser unit is not there and im using it as a normal vented dryer. This is because the sump / pump has a lint blockage and it can't pump the water up to the tank. This means the machine thinks the tank is full and so stops. For some reason it is happy when I take the condenser out and run it as a vented dryer. To get to the sump /pump I will need to take out the drum which is not going to be an easy task so at the moment and probably for the forseable future it can stay as it is.
I have had no end of problems with this machine since I got it. What a piece of rubbish.

These are mine...

This has been my primary set for the last 22.5 years

I bought these machines brand new at age 21 while I was in college. As soon as I got a place with a connection, I went out and bought these. At the time I didn't know a lot of things, one that this was among the very last belt-drive washers made (mid August, 1986). The other is had I looked at used machines, I probably could have found some neat and plentiful 1960s gems. Delivery day was much more exciting to me than when Mom got her washers, as this one was MINE.

The washer has had a recent vacation due in part to a centerpost seal failing, which I haven't been motivated to fix, mostly because I have been using the machines that I restored this past year.

This machine is not as 'vintage' as a '72 Lady K, a '63 Kenmore 70, or even my '61 Kenmore 70, but it is my pride and joy since I was able at such a young age to buy something new of my very own.

I am a sentimental type guy, and it feels weird posting these here for everyone to see, but hopefully you can tell that I have appreciated them. I hope to have and be using these machines 22.5 years from now!
