I second your comment above.
I met Steve some years ago, right when Emilio sent me the Unimatic.
He was amazing. He didn't save efforts to help me restoring that machine. Even a printed version of the service manual was mailed to Brazil. He also included some dryer sheets I have until today and I remember him every time I use it.
We also lost the count of hours we spent on Skype (I taught him how to use it) with the webcams open while he was guiding me step by step through the restoration process.
Then i had some issues and had to put the restoration on hold for the first time (it even became a cold case and the machine is still here waiting for the restoration but, considering my "evacuation" plan, it will probably go to the crusher.)
Unfortunately I gave up using Skype after microsoft merged it with MSN, like 99% of the world I started using only Facebook and we lost contact. I also don't remember his screen name here.
I like all the members here but there's a select group (the top 10) that I love. Steve is certainly one of those not only because of the restoration help but also because of the amazing fun and adorable moments and talks we had. I wish I could find him again.
Luckily, I'll have the chance to find him again, and now living closer, it will be much easier to simply get a plane and make him a surprise visit. I'll surely love to meet him in real life.
