one thing with Weber, is being able to get parts easily....most are made in the USA....a little more money, but worth it in the end...
with units from Walmart, Kmart, Sears off brand styles and such, you have to track down who made it for them during the purchase date, and then hope to locate parts, or they may be NLA.....

Gas and charcoal grills-

There is an outdoor grill that is made that's gas, charcoal, or wood burning.
It's referred to as a Hybrid grill.
If you ever watch Rick Bayless's cooking show, "Mexico, One Plate at a Time" he frequently cooks in his backyard on one of these grills.
The grill is made by Kalamazoo. They have a webpage www.kalamazoogourmet.com.
The price for these grills aren't cheap by no means. Whether or not there is any other mfg. of that type of grill...maybe... but haven't heard of any. It'd be a lot easier to buy 2 separate grills (1 gas, 1 charcoal/wood) and it would be cheaper as well.
