Wedgewood Gas Range

The local St. Vincent De Paul has a 50's Wedgewood Gas Range for sale. It's in good shape, although the wiring to the clock and light is shot. They want $1,999! Is it just me or is that outrageously over priced? I don't know much about gas ranges, but there aren't any electric ones I would pay that for. What do you all think?

That price is much closer to a price for a fully RESTORED unit, I'd say.

I've picked them up for free off Craigslist.

I think 199.99 would be more like it for one that needs work.

They are cool old ranges, but my kitchens both are designed around built-ins, so I let my "collection" of Wedgwoods go...

Rich refers to St VdP thrift (and I use the term 'thrift' loosely for them) stores as, "St. Vincent de Gaul" for the prices they put on things. That stove is just another glaring example!
