The local St. Vincent De Paul has a 50's Wedgewood Gas Range for sale. It's in good shape, although the wiring to the clock and light is shot. They want $1,999! Is it just me or is that outrageously over priced? I don't know much about gas ranges, but there aren't any electric ones I would pay that for. What do you all think?

This is the place for restored stoves

they used to show many more for sale, the restorations are on par with what the AW crowd is used to seeing.

Rich refers to St VdP thrift (and I use the term 'thrift' loosely for them) stores as, "St. Vincent de Gaul" for the prices they put on things. That stove is just another glaring example!

Ever since the term vintage became trendy, people now think
vintage means valuable. No matter how common the item is.
