Never have been a fan of cassettes, even at their best I found the hiss annoying. I have a TOL Sony deck with Dolby B and C, from the mid 80's and never was too enamored with it.

Had a nice selection of turntables, Garrard Zero 100, several Panasonic Technics, Sony liner tracking, and so on. Have a bunch of CD-4 albums from the 70's. Had the Sure V15 cartridge and some ATs, but truly have not listened to an LP in decades and a cassette for longer.

I might have a couple hundred albums and more CDs than LPs but don't listen to them much. Sorry to say I've moved on to much inferior streaming audio, sound quality is poor and the wealth of content makes up for it. Every now and then i come across an artist and can immerse myself in their content, at the moment I like what I would consider an Alt. folk/rock artist Josh Ritter. Not very well know but he has an interesting catalog. I like his live stuff best, "In the Dark Live on Vicar Street" is my favorite.

I have a Rega P3 and completely happy with it-now its about 15yrs old.Sounds far better than any DD TT.And the belt on mine is fine. The belts on BD TT's last for a very long time.Bought my Rega from a very small Hi Fi shop in Silver Spring Md.
I would like to have two systems, but space and cost prevent it.Need a bigger home and budget for seperate Hi fi and Theater systems.I am surpriszed at the results I get when I play CD's thru the sorround mode in my system-some Cd's are mixed as sorround-when played back this way you get the lead singer in the center channel-the other instruments on the left and right, and "ambience" sound on the rear channels.
