I just got a Western Holly range, got it hooked up to natural gas, but the plumber didn't feel that it was in good enough shape to leave hooked up.

All the pilots lit, but the pilots didn't lite the burners when they were turned on. Everything seems to work, but I think it just needs to be gone over.

The rotisserie side also needs a spring for the door. Can anyone give me a two second how-to? Where can I find a replacement spring?

I live in Frederick, MD and would love to find someone around here that could help me out.

Thanks,

Wish i was closer!

I could show you how to adjust gas burners, If your burners dont lite properly, its not a big deal, first, take out the burners and wash in hot soapy water, making sure all the little holes are clean, dry in a warm oven, then as a precaution, take a small nail or piece of wire and insert in every hole to be sure they are clean, then make sure your flash tubes are properly positioned at the pilots, if it still does not lite like it should, it is just a matter of adjustment, if the air shutter is closed, open it until it lites properly. The Old Appliance Club has a book out on top burner adjustment, also how to re grease your gas valves, they also sell a great vintage valve cream for re greasing the valves, dont be un easy about it, it really is not difficult...Look up the Old Road Home on the internet, Jack Santoro is a nice guy full of information.

Excellent Feedback

I'm on a lot of technical forums, but this one really beats them all with the great feedback!

I'll wash, dry and poke out all the burners but I'll have to air dry them - this is my only oven!

And sorry, but the clock doesn't seem to work. I'll follow up with all the other suggestions and I'm trying to get my brother-in-law to help me out - it's too big for me to pull in and out of the space and that's where the gas cutoff valve is!

Hopefully by Sunday, I'll have this stove working....
