Westinghouse wall oven approximately 1965

The temperature dial switch does not work. It began becoming finicky and if turned on and off twice it would work . Then it just stopped working. Please advise

Lol -- you can't seem to win whether it's a cold control or a heat control.  Sounds to me like you need a new thermostat.  There's probably something out there that would work, but the knob for your current thermostat may not match up with it.
